You know tomorrow is a monumental day in our country. So many people passionate about so many issues. We had a great discussion in our church life group last night... as our sermon serious has been on how you can be a Christian in politics today. The best thing I got out of these discussions so far is that God is sovereign in all the world, no matter who the leader of this nation is. He is the ultimate leader and is the one we answer to. The other thing is that as Christians we are called to help those in need, so rather than complaining about "that's not the governments job, etc"... we should look at it as "what can I do to help", rather than sit back and watch...
very interesting topics... i won't use my blog as a political platform for any debates and discussions... this country will never be in agreement on all the issues in society today.. but for me, as a Christian, I do base my beliefs on what the scripture says, and I will leave the judgment up to God, that's not my job. My job is to love everyone and to try to make a difference in this world and let those around me see God through me. That's what I will continue to strive for. I will pray for whomever becomes our president, that he might lead this country in the direction it needs to go and make the best decisions for everyone.
