Miss Emma Claire is 9 months old, at least she turned so on the 10th. I am a little late to post. She is doing very well. She went for her 9 month check up and had to get the other half of her flu shot (OH NO!!). But she was such a big girl and did very well. Dr. Lanman said she was perfect, of course! She was 16 lbs 6 oz and 27 3/8 inches long. Just an itty bitty thing. But not for lack of eating. She loves her solid foods. We are trying new things every day. I have finally found a brand of baby food that she will eat meat. Her daddy was starting to worry that she was going to be a vegetarian. But, I think it was just the baby food. I was buying the Gerber baby meat food and it smells like dog food. So who would blame my sweet girl. I love all of Gerber's baby food except the meat. Nature's Goodness is the way to go as far as meat goes... no ALPO for us.
Emma is crawling all over the place as fast as she can. She is getting into everything. You can't leave you eyes off her for a second anymore... she'll find you or find something to get into. She loves to walk all over the place (with us over her hands). She isn't pulling up, but she's close, she grabs onto things and holds on, but hasn't quite figured out yet that she could pull herself up if she tried. She loves to crawl over to the back door and play in the blinds. She is so funny. She is so happy, always smiling and playing. She is saying "Mama" and "Dada" ... it took her a while on the later, but she's got it now. She loves going to the park and swinging, not lately with this Texas weather but we had some good days last week with highs in the 70s/80s when we took her to the park down the road from our house. Swinging was her favorite.
We are looking forward to our first Christmas with Emma Claire. We haven't taken her to see Santa yet, that's on the list of things to do. We have been busy lately getting ready for the holidays. Cory had some time off this last week so were able to spend it together and with our families. He gets to go to the Cowboy game this weekend with my dad (his first ever). I am jealous as I will be working all weekend. Typical!! haha!! Anyways, I hope this finds you all doign well and we wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and enjoy yourselves and get to spend it with someone you love.
