Give Thanks!

Emma has not only her first tooth, but her first 3 teeth. She is getting 3 bottom teeth all at the same time. Emma went to her first birthday party yesterday - a bounce house party... She got to enjoy it a little. It was Cayden and Jackson's birthday party. Emma got to swing for the first time too this weekend. She absolutely loved it!!! We're working on getting that baby one... unfortunately we have no trees in our yard to hang a swing from so we'll have to get something else.
We want to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for this year. There is no way we could ever put into words how grateful we are for all of God's blessings in our lives. But I thought it would be good to make a list of some things we are thankful for, that way one day in the future when one of us is down, we can look back at this and look at how much God has blessed us this year. Here's a little list ...
1- EMMA CLAIRE. We could never express in words how grateful we are for her. The entire journey it took for her to get here was not always easy. But God had his hand in it every step of the way leading us to her. I knew I would love her from the moment I found out I was pregnant, but I didn't know until the moment I saw her how much I would love her ... and that love grows everyday. I am so thankful for being able to get pregnant, for being able to carry her to term, for being able to have a safe delivery, for her being healthy and being able to come home with us. Then being able to wake up every morning to her smiling face.
2- We are apart of two wonderful families who are very close to each other and love each other very much. We don't always get to see each other that often and it is rare we are all together, but we are thankful for each one of you and love you dearly.
3- We have so many people who we are blessed to call our friends and whom we can share our lives with.
4- We have two wonderful jobs that allow us to not only pay the bills, but we make a difference in the lives of so many people everyday. We easily forget this when we get "sick" of working. I have thought so many times how I wish I could have stayed at home and not had to go back to work so I could be with Emma. Then I think back to all the wonderful sweet babies and families I have had the pleasure of taking care of this past few months. Then I realize that I am exactly where God wants me to be. Thank you God for allowing me to meet these sweet babies and their families. I do not remember them all by name, but a few I do and they are so special to me (my sweet Keegan and Samuel).
5- We have a wonderful house, electricity, running water, food and two cars to drive. These things we take for granted everyday.
This is only a small list, but I realize more and more everyday how we are not guaranteed tomorrow and I am so thankful for today, everyday. I am a planner.. in fact I try to plan my life out, every little detail as far out as I can. But, God reminds me often that my plans will not always come into fruition, but in fact his plans are even better than any plan I could ever make.
I have a wonderful reminder of that that wakes me up at 8am everyday, sometimes a littler earlier and sometimes in the middle of the night. Thank you God for everything you have given us this year. Thank you for allowing us to be off this year and spend the holidays with our family. We are going to Cory's grandparents' house this year for the annual fish-fry. Yes for those of you who really know me know I do not eat fish. But this wonderful family still loves me, although they give me a hard time every year. But my mother-in-law is wonderful enough to bring me some Greenberg turkey to eat. Hopefully Emma won't be a picky eater like myself.
Two of our dear friends Callie and Rob were married yesterday in Jamaica. Marriage is one of the best blessings God provides. They were introduced to this yesterday. We are so happy for them as they celebrate this week.
Thank you for checking on us. Again, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Take the time to thank God for all the blessings in your life.
Love you all.
