7 weeks old

Our Emma is 7 weeks old. She is getting so big. She smiled for the first time last week. She isn't smiling consistently at people. But we do get one out of her every now and then. She loves to lay on the bed and stare at the ceiling fan. She will lay there and stare as long as we will let her. She is becoming so interactive with lights, colors and sounds. She has a play mat with toys that hang over her as she's laying down. She absolutely loves that thing. She will lay there and kick and bat her arms at the toys. It's so funny. Emma and I had our first outing last week. We ventured over to see her Daddy at work. He sure was very proud to show her off to all those men he works with.
Emma has reflux symptoms too... She has been on medication that hasn't helped much. Her doctor has ordered her to have an Upper GI, which is x-rays to make sure everything is structurally normal in her digestive system. We doubled her medication so hopefully she will start to have some relief soon. It's so sad when she chokes/coughs/throws up.
She will be 2 months old next week- it's gone by so fast. Keep Emma in your prayers in the next week for her procedure to go well.
Love you all. Thanks for checking on us.
