First of all, I am so sorry it has taken me so long to post. I know you have been anxious. We are all doing wonderful. The last month has been much better in the pregnancy world than the previous month. I am now 18 weeks along and the baby and I are both growing! This picture was of Baby Tomlin at 14 weeks. It may be hard for you to tell what is what but it is a profile of the baby's right side of it's face. If you look hard and close, you can see the baby's eye sockets, nose and mouth. It is such a beautiful sight. This is what has taken me so long to post, I was waiting to scan this picture on the computer. Now I finally did it.
We go to the doctor on October 19th for our sonogram to FINALLY find out what it is. Boy or Girl, we don't care, I am just so ready to know and buy something for it!!! I haven't felt the baby move yet, but that should be within the next few weeks sometime. I can't wait for that. That will be the best part of the pregnancy (at first), until the baby's foot is permanently lodged in my rib, then we will revisit the idea.
Cory is doing very well himself. He is almost complete with his paramedic internship he has to do in Mesquite and then he will be on his own. He is doing so well and getting to experience many things. We both seem to have these black clouds that follow us along at work. But I am very proud of him and for what he is doing. He absolutely loves his job and is finally, without a doubt, doing what God intended him to do! He is ready to be a daddy as well!
I am in school this fall, every Monday from 9-5. Needless to say, I am ready for this semester to be over. It is the first semester though that has been somewhat interesting. Finally something that will relate to my future career. After much thought and prayer, I am going to take a year off from school starting in the spring. I will restart in the Spring of 2008 and finish May 2009. All I will have left is my clinical courses. It would be almost impossible to try to continue, plus I would miss out on so much with the baby (which isn't fair to any of us).
We went to Austin this weekend with Ryan and Brandy for a celebration for Chris and the band and their new cd "See the Morning". It is truly amazing to see how God is using these four young men to make such a impact on the world. It was a short trip, but an amazing worship experience that we were happy to be apart of. We got to visit with Chris and see many people who are so dear to us thatwe haven't seen in so long.
We have several prayer requests for everyone..
1- Baby Tomlin, of course! Continued healthy course and growth in Mommy's tummy. Pray for Mommy and Daddy as well to have peace about this pregnancy, to let go of all the worries involved, to enjoy each day of this pregnancy and to truly realize the wonderful miracle that is occurring. This is one of the only times in our lives that we will active witness and participate in one of God's true miracles on earth.
2- Our nephew Cayden, will be having his tonsils/adenoids out October 18th. Please pray for his healing, speedy recovery and peace for Ryan and Brandy about this procedure.
3- Many friends of ours are pregnant and several having their babies in the next month. Please pray for safe and healthy babies, safe deliveries and quick recoveries for the sweet mommies.
Nikki & Juan are having a baby girl in October
Brandi & Chad are having a baby girl in October
Erin & Matt are having a baby girl in January
Heath & Anna are having their 3rd (yes 3rd) girl in February
(girls seem to be the trend this year)
4- Chris, Jesse, Daniel and Travis- they have recently released a new cd and will be traveling all over the country in the next few weeks. Pray for their safety and their ministry.
5- Cory's parents (Connie & Donna)- Connie, recently had laser back surgery. Please pray for his peace, healing and quick recovery.
Psalm 139: 13-18
"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous- and how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God! They are innumerable! I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up in the morning, you are still with me!"
Philippians 4:13
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything!"
We love you all!

Thanks for the update Holly! I am so glad to hear that things are going well. My daily prayers are with you, Cory and Baby. I know your vocational journeys haven't always been easy but I know that you are the light of the Lord right where He has you. There is a quote from Oswald Chambers that has been on my heart a lot lately, "We see His glory on the mountain, we live His glory in the valley." I will keep all of your requests in my prayers.
Love,
Tracy
