May was a good month for the Tomlin Family. Cory went on a "brothers" vacation with Ryan and Chris to Florida. They had a great time relaxing, golfing and playing tennis. That was Cory's first trip to Florida. He loved it. I wrapped up my first semester back to school at the beginning of May, which gave me a few weeks off to enjoy my family. We celebrated my 2nd Mother's Day. We spent the day together as a family. We went to this huge park here in Allen and had a picnic and then let Emma play on the playground. It was a wonderful day together.
We spent almost a week in Austin for a family get-away. We stayed at Uncle Chris' house. We spent the week in the pool, eating at many of Austin's great restaurants and then took Emma to the Austin zoo. It took Emma a while to warm up to the pool, the water was pretty chilly, but she grew to love it. My friend Erin and her daughter Ellie (she is 9 weeks older than Emma) came over one day and played. We had a great time, it had been almost a year since the girls had seen each other. They had a blast playing and loving on each other.
Emma is growing up so fast. She is now riding face forward in her carseat, which she LOVES. She gets so excited about being able to see everything. She is eating more and more every day. She loves her milk and her "choc-choc" (Chocolate Pediasure). She loves playing outside and swinging. Her new words are "no", "baby", "hot", "cracker", and a bunch of other jibberish!! She is so much fun!
Last weekend, I went to see Sex and The City with a group of girlfriends. It was me and two of my friends from high school (Katy & Jennifer), Katy's sister Holly, and two of Katy's friends, Apryl and Lisa. We had so much fun. We went and ate an early dinner and arrived early at the theater in preparation for the madness. The movie was at 8 and we arrived at 7, only to be the first one's there. They had a line set up where people going to see the movie had to wait in line to enter the theater. So we parked ourselves first in line and waited to go in. The movie was great!!
I started back to school this week with clinical on Monday with Dr. Lanman. It was a great day. She is Emma's pediatrician. Not only is she a wonderful person, but an excellent doctor and will be a wonderful mentor for me this summer.
This summer is jammed pack for our family, but we are looking forward to it. Cory is playing in the Fireman Olympics on the golf team again this year in July. He has started practicing for that, sounds tough huh? But, he's been busy being Mr. Mom, while I am working or at school. He is such a wonderful husband and father. Emma and I are so lucky to have him.
I posted a lot of pics for your enjoyment of this past month. Stay tuned for updates. Thanks for checking on us!
Love, The Tomlin Family

We had a blast too! It was so good to finally meet you, although I felt like I already knew you. Your sweet Emma is just too cute for words!
