We can hardly believe it.. Miss Emma is 3 weeks old tomorrow. We are just loving her so much and enjoying every day we have with her. She is so good.. she's eating and sleeping well (which is very nice for her parents). She never really cries either, so when she does we almost panic.. ha! She has so many of Cory's features.. her eyes, hands, feet (Tomlin toes!!), even down to her cowlick in the middle of her head. The Tomlin toes is a running family joke because they all have these french fry toes (very long, skinny). Emma's got them too! I think she's got my mouth and that's about it. Well we are afraid she may have my patience because when she decides she's hungry and it's not ready like 5 minutes ago then she gets very upset!! haha! Hopefully not!
A praise for our family as well--- my sister Amy is pregnant with her 3rd baby and it doing well. The baby is due at the end of October... the first one to be born during football season.. so my parents should survive ok!
I posted some pictures of Emma Claire. She is getting so big. She went to the doctor yesterday and is getting so big. She weighed 8 lbs 15 oz and was 21 1/4 inches long.. she's grown! The doctor wanted to see her back to her birth weight by 2 weeks.. that obviously wasn't a problem for Miss Emma. She's got a double chin already. She is absolutely beautiful! There is one picture of her making this face with her mouth like a cheerio.. she always does this and it is so cute! Then the one of her making a "touchdown" pose.. she's already fired up for football season.. she gets that honestly too!
We thank you for checking on us.. especially for all the phone calls, emails and cards. The first few weeks is overwhelming with all the adjustments and recovery so we appreciate your patience with us getting back to you! All the love, support and prayers is greatly appreciated!!
We love you all.
Holly, Cory & Emma
