New York City

Well, I just got back from NYC. I went on a long weekend trip with Brandy (my sister-in-law), Donna (my mother-in-law) and Janette (my mother-in-law's friend) to New York City. It was a very exciting trip. We had an amazing time, not long enough though. I absolutely love NYC. I could actually live there, for a short time. But yes, I could live there. We saw a few shows on Broadway, one of which starring the incredible Julia Roberts. That was incredible getting to see her live, but the show was not that exciting. The weather was beautiful, mild, sunny and in the low 70s (for the high temp), as it was hot and 100 degrees here at home. We went on this trip for Donna's birthday. She absolutely loved it and deserved this trip. I am truly blessed to have married into a wonderful family. I have wonderful in-laws and then a wonderful sister-in-law (who might as well be my second sister). Brandy and I had an awesome last day, we went and had a makeover (hah!). We found the neatest salon in Soho. She got her hair cut and colored (very sassy!) and I cut all my hair off (about 8 inches). We were the best looking girls in NYC! It was good to come home, but back to the real world.
Cory is doing well. He finished his Paramedic classwork this week and made straight A's on all his exams. So now he will do one month of ride-outs with a paramedic on an ambulance with the Garland FD. Then July 21st he will take his certification exam and be completely finished. No more school. I am taking one class this summer. We are taking a vacation in August to San Francisco, which we look forward to. We are approaching our two year wedding anniversary. How exciting! Jake is doing well, he is as fat as ever. We sure do love him though.

Our prayer requests:
1- Cory is finishing paramedic school. He takes his certification exam on July 21st.
2- I am taking one class this summer.
3- Our marriage. We are about to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. We are so thankful for everything God has given us. We want to continue to grow in our marriage daily.

It was so good to see you and the rest of the Donna Tomlin birthday gang. :) Petey will be hurt that he didn't make the top list of sights in NYC. I wish you could have seen how hard he slept on the train back home. People around me were laughing..

Great news about Cory's classes. I will be praying about all of your requests, spoken and unspoken.

Best,
Tracy
